Create a Grant Profile
Build comprehensive grant profiles to streamline the process of allocating funds to a project, tracking expenses, and managing reporting schedules.
Introduction
Create grant profiles to easily track allocations, expenditures, and reporting schedules. Allocate a grant to a project so the project team can tag transactions to the grant, allowing them to accurately track income and expenses related to each grant.
Create a Grant Profile
Step 1: Open Grants in the Left-Side Menu

Step 2: Click 'Create Grant Profile'

Step 3: Enter the Grant Details
Enter the grant's name.

Enter the total amount of the grant.

Enter the Grant ID.

Select the Donor of the grant.

Enter the signature date.

Select the reporting schedule frequency.

With all the details complete, click 'Next.'

Step 4: Select the Dates of the Funding Period
Select the start date and end date of the funding period. Then click 'Next.'

Step 5: Upload Documents Related to the Grant
Click to upload supporting documents for the grant.

With the file uploaded, click 'Create Grant.'

Step 6: Success! Click to Open the Grant Profile

From the grant profile, you can review all the grant's information.

Allocate a Grant to a Project
Step 1: From the Grant Profile, Open the 'Allocations' Tab

Step 2: Click 'New Allocation'

Step 3: Select the Project's Account
Click 'Select an Account.'

Select the project this grant will be allocated to.

Step 3: Enter the Amount of the Grant to Allocate to the Project
Enter the amount of the grant allocation to the selected project. Click 'Save.'

Step 4: Success! The Grant has been Allocated to the Project

Note: The allocated amount does not mean that money has been entered the account, meaning this amount does not represent funds in your account until the Donor's money enters your Mazlo account. You can tag the transaction to this Grant to see the 'Funded' amount increase, which represents the amount that is in your account.
