Build the Organization's Budget
Build your organization's budget in Mazlo to track your actual spend against your budget in real time.
Introduction
Mazlo provides a structured way for sponsors to create budgets based on their chart of accounts. With a Budget, you can define spending guidelines for each accounting code and monitor your actual spend in real time, ensuring accountability and oversight across all organizational spending.
Build the Organization's Budget
Step 1: Navigate to the Budget Tab in the Accounting Settings
Open Settings > Accounting > Budget.
Step 2: Select the Organization Account
Choose the organization's primary account from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: Set Budget Limits
For each accounting code:
Set a maximum amount (required).
Optionally set a minimum amount.
As you tag accounting codes to transactions, you will track the actual spend in real time.
Save the Budget
Click Save to lock in your budget settings.
Track Actual Spend
As accounting codes are tagged to your transactions, Mazlo will automatically reflect the actual spend, allowing you to monitor your budget in real time.
